We started the week with a birthday party for a friend at a bouncy place. Jack (and mommy and daddy) had a blast trying out all the inflatables while Lindsey kept asking to go home. She only started enjoying herself when they started serving chocolate cake.
Later that afternoon, we had a party at my mother in law's, since her birthday was the previous week. We had a taco bar, chips and salsa and guacamole, and trifle for dessert.

Trying on a new shirt
Some wine with that cheese? Oh, actually Jack takes care of the whine at our house :)
Clint trying on his new "old man" reading glasses. (He doesn't really need them....yet.)
Thursday was the big day...Clint took the day off so the boys could have some quality bonding time...Clint started his day off with a massage and then we headed into Jack's classroom to share some birthday treats. After school, the boys headed to "Old McDonalds" for lunch ( I love it that Jack still calls it this!!), and to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs." After a short break, they were off to the Bouncy Place ( a different one than the week before :)). Then, off to dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen (pizza is the only thing everyone in the family will eat, sad huh?) and Coldstone for ice cream.

And then, if that wasn't enough celebrating, we went to Clint's basketball game to cheer him on and share monster cookies with his teammates. Whew....what a day!!
Friday morning, we dropped the kids off at Clint's sister's house and headed to Portland for the weekend. It was great to have some rest and relaxation! We took in a temple session, ate out at Olive Garden and Outback (thank you Christmas gift cards!!), did some shopping, saw Avator (awesome movie), went running, went hot tubbing, played games, walked around downtown Portland and talked, talked, talked. It was a perfect weekend.
The birthday boy in front of our hotel room. Can he really be 30?!?
Finding some friends downtown.
We picked the kids up from my parents Sunday evening and had a little party with them. I think Lindsey just about killed my mom this weekend: she was definitely in her prime (as displayed in the picture below).
And we're through with birthdays until next January (well, except for me in July)!! Hip Hip Hooray!!
