Monterey

I had the fabulous opportunity to meet up with 6 of my BYU dorm-mates in Monterey this last weekend. We stayed in a cute little house right on the beach and despite the yucky weather, had a great time. We walked around Monterey and Carmel, drove the 17- mile drive through Pebble Beach, ate LOTS of yummy food, had several funny adventures, and enjoyed being with one another. I can't wait until our next planned getaway in 2010!

"I made it to the top!"

Clint had President's day off (the first time in a LONG time) and it was a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest. We decided to hike a little "mountain" by our house. We loaded Lindsey in the backpack and Jack walked alongside us. We weren't sure how long he was actually going to last, but he climbed the whole hill! He was so excited when we got to the top he kept saying, "I made it! I made it to the top!" It was too funny.

We wanted a picture of us at the top, so we had Jack take a picture. He actually took a pretty great shot!

We were all pretty tired after hiking 3+ miles. Lindsey slept on the way down and we all took a long afternoon nap!

Picture Time!

I like to get the kids' pictures taken around each birthday, so we headed into the Picture People for a few quick photos. Ha! Both times we went in turned out to be much more than we had bargained for. Jack was shy for 2 seconds and then turned into Mr. Goofy. The photographer did a fantastic job because she caught the 5 smiles he gave the entire 40 minutes we were there.

This is how we all felt when it was over. AHHHHHH!!!

Little Miss Lindsey was also a challenge since she didn't want to sit still. She just scooted around in circles and the photographer snapped a shot whenever she was facing the camera. Add Jack into the mix (he was riding a little car around the studio like a mad man) and I felt like I had put on a three ring circus by the time we left. I am already dreading going back next year!
