Let it Snow!

We have had a week of wintry weather in the great Northwest. For a city that rarely sees snow, a whole week of it has completely shut the city down. We have left the house 3 times in the last week. Clint has been working from home since last Wednesday and we have been working since last Wednesday not to drive him insane. We are all sick both physically and of each other. Okay, we're really only sick of the one who screams (not to name any names but her alias is purple marshmallow). Please let the rain return!!

We have enjoyed the weather a bit. We ventured out for a walk in the snow and to build a snowman (actually Clint and Jack built while Linds and I hung out inside and watched). Getting geared up to enter the 'snow zone.'

This is the best shot we got since the sun was so bright. :) Notice Lindsey's purple coat? She is officially the first purple marshmallow. You should see her when we strap her in her car seat.

Lindsey wishing she could go outside. Can you believe the attitude this little one already has?!?

Inside the house we have kept busy playing Little People, cars, putting on a nativity, baking, eating treats, practicing our special Christmas song (think Kenny and Dolly :)), reading, watching Christmas movies, and participating in plenty of rough housing.

'Tis the Season

I hate it that December always goes by so quickly. It is my favorite time of the year and it is always over before I know what hit me. It's the same old story this year. I can't believe we are already halfway through the month.
Here is what we have been up to (I don't have pictures to document everything due to the death of our good camera :():

We spent a Saturday morning chopping down the old Christmas tree. The weather was mild and sunny- the perfect day for a trip out to the tree farm. We looked for the perfect tree for a while and found the perfect one for my parents. I had a smallish inexpensive tree in mind and we never found it. I admit I am a bit of a scrooge this year as I didn't want to spend $30 on a tree that would be destroyed by Lindsey in a matter of minutes. Also, Clint lost his job and then was offered a new one at his company, so we are playing it pretty safe in the financial department right now. So, we convinced Jack to use a small (okay it's tiny) fake tree instead. It is one foot tall, but fits all of Jack and Lindsey's ornaments perfectly. And I don't care if Lindsey destroys it! I am a bit sad that I don't have the fresh smell of Christmas tree in my house this year, but the little tree is growing on me. :)

We crashed my parents' ward Christmas party (my mom is in charge and always does a great job!)last Saturday night. Jack enjoyed visiting with Santa and told him all about the race car helmet he wants for Christmas. Lindsey touched his knee in order to get her candy cane and then took off. She isn't a fan of the big guy in red!

We did the downtown Seattle Christmas festivities when my sister was here. We checked out the superhero gingerbread houses, festival of trees and rode the carousel. We had a yummy lunch at the Spaghetti Factory before returning home.

Turkey time!

Thanksgiving came and went way too fast this year. My sister, Erin and her hubby, Spencer, were in town and we spent a lot of time hanging out with them. Clint had a 5day weekend and we enjoyed all the "daddy time." Clint played in a turkey bowl Thanksgiving morning and we ate a yummy feast at my mom and dad's later that day. Unfortuately, our camera stopped taking pictures after the feast, so I don't have more photos to share of our fun weekend.
