After 4 years as a courier, Clint is leaving the FedEx company. He had been applying for FedEx management positions for about 9 months with no luck, so he decided to explore some other options. He accepted a program manager position with Lionbridge Technologies and will begin October 10th. The office is located in Bellevue, WA (about 45 minutes with traffic). We hope to move into something bigger and closer to work in the near future. He is excited for a new challenge and an opportunity to learn and gain experience. Jack, Lindsey, and I are excited to hopefully see him more and play with him in the evenings (recently, he's too physically exhausted after 11 hour days to play with us!). Way to go, Clint!

Erin's Wedding
My sister, Erin, married Spencer Carter of Sugar City, Idaho on Sept. 8 in the Idaho Falls temple. Since airfare into Idaho Falls is a bit steep and the idea of spending 12 hours in a car with both kiddos was a bit daunting, we decided to fly to Boise, rent a car and drive the 3.5 hours to Idaho Falls. Jack loved the plane ride, but got a little scared during take off. Lindsey ate and slept the whole way. The drive wasn't bad thanks to a portable DVD player we had borrowed for Jack.
I didn't get any photos of the happy couple after the sealing since I was videotaping and keeping Jack under control, but here is a photo of this happy couple! I will post phots of Erin and Spencer as soon as I have access to them.
One of the only photos we got of Jack standing still on the wedding day. He spent most of the day running around the temple grounds shirtless (Clint was afraid he was going to get something on his white shirt- yes, my husband can be a bit OCD), eating fruit snacks as a bribe to smile for pictures ( I think he downed 4 or 5 packs), running around the church gym during the luncheon, and jumping on the trampoline for the entire reception. Needless to say, he slept well that night!!
The beautiful bride and Lindsey at the reception, held in Spencer's parents' yard. Erin looked stunning in her gown. Lindsey looked absolutely darling in her polka dot halter dress and slicked back hair!
Chad came up from BYU for the wedding and reception and helped with Jack and Lindsey. We love Uncle Chad!
We had a little time to play in Boise before our flight home. We rented paddle boats at a downtown park and had a blast. Jack loved steering and tried to run over the ducks and geese.
We returned home safely and are looking forward to Erin and Spencer coming to visit this weekend for their Seattle reception.

Labor Day
We were feeling a bit ambitious Labor Day weekend, so we headed on a hike with our friends, the Rowleys. We wanted to conquer Mt. Si (4,167 feet in 4 miles). Hmmmm. We loaded the kids up in backpacks and headed up the mountain. Here are Jack and Ellie ready for the ride of their life.
Lindsey rode most of the way in the moby wrap on the front of me. However, after carrying 15 extra pounds on the front of me for an hour, I handed her over to Clint for a ride in the backpack. Jack walked for about 5 minutes and just about fell off the mountain, so he was banned to the backpack again.
We made it to the top!! Hahahaha! We actually only made it 2 miles up (which we considered quite an accomplishment). We will try Little Si next time!
We finished off the morning with a picnic at a train park.
