Snow in March?

This morning we woke up to a lovely blanket of snow. I made Jack throw on his snow boots (which haven't gotten much use this winter) and run outside for some pictures. It has been snowing off and on the last few days, but there hasn't been any accumulation. Too weird- snow at the end of March in Seattle?!?

Since I didn't post this last week about Easter, I have posted a few Easter pictures of the kids below. We got them all dressed up and took pictures last Saturday, but they are sooooo hard to photograph right now. Jack has fako smiles and Lindsey just wants to scoot on out of the pictures. And forget about having them together in a picture! I want to get a family picture taken, but I think it would just turn out to be a disaster.

This one is my favorite goofy picture. Can you tell that it was a bit windy and the kids were done taking pics even though we had only just begun?!?

Boxes again

Lindsey finally graduated to a big girl carseat (but is still rear-facing since she only weighs like 17 lbs), so we had a big, fun box to play with for a few days. Jack pretended it was a spaceship and Lindsey and him would shoot off to space at least 10times a day. Too bad we tore it down....we now need boxes since the house sold. We are moving somewhere by the middle of April. I just wish I knew where we were going....

Bye-Bye Binky!

Jack has slept with a binky and 2 Taggies books since he was born. We have been trying to convince him to give up the binky for the last few months now that he is 3. We have tried every bribe possible, took him to the dentist in hopes of convincing him to give it up, suggested sending it to another baby who needs it more, the list goes on and on. The kid loves his binky! So, yesterday, I casually mentioned that we could go and get ice cream at Dairy Queen and see if they could mix up binky into his blizzard. I know this idea sounded a bit morbid, but I was desperate. He actually loved the idea, so we headed off to Dairy Queen last night. He ordered his mint oreo blizzard, and we handed over the binky to the employee. Jack watched carefully as his binky was mixed into his ice cream. The pieces were so small we couldn't even see them (wink wink)! After a yummy dessert, we headed home to bed. He went to bed without a struggle because he knew his binky would always be with him in his tummy. He woke up this morning happy as can be and asked us how we thought his binky was doing inside him. Hopefully, we won't have any drama in the next few days. Now, if we could only get him interested in potty training. I was thinking of maybe trying to potty train him at Dairy Queen.......

Trip to the Seattle Children's Museum

Last Saturday, Jack's friend, Grayson, had a birthday party at the Seattle Children's Museum. We spent the morning playing in all of the fun exhibits.

After we played for awhile, we gathered in the party room for some pizza, juice and cupcakes! Then, instead of a traditional gift opening, we all brought a wrapped gift so that each child got to open a book to bring home. Great idea, Angela!!

Jack conked out after a busy morning of play. We love the weekend naps!

A few days later, Lindsey fell asleep sitting up in her crib. Luckily, she didn't wake up with too many red marks on her face!
