Green Day

I love holidays. And I love making them fun for my family. Jack and Lindsey set out 21 pennies (no real significance in the number) for the leprechaun to hide the night before St. Patrick's Day. The leprechaun did indeed visit our house and hide 21 chocolate coins for the kids to find in the morning. They were supposed to tell one reason that they were lucky for every coin they found, but that was a little tough, so they just found them and got to eat 3 with breakfast.

The whole family was decked out in green for the day. We didn't want any pinching going on. :) (in case you're wondering.....Lindsey had shamrocks on her pants)

We spent the afternoon looking for 4 leaf clovers in our grass ( I know....our grass is not in the best shape). We actually found about 10! I am hoping this means we are going to have more luck in our lives. :)

And of course, we finished off the day with a green dinner: green jello, pesto pasta, peas and a non-green irish soda bread (surprisingly tasty if I say so myself: too bad I was the only one who felt that way).

I have been having a "woe be me" kind of week...so I am going to list 21 reasons why I am lucky in hopes it makes me feel more a little better:
1. Clint
2. Jack
3. Lindsey
4. A house to live in (even if we don't own it)
5. A car (never thought I'd love driving a minivan, but I do)
6. Staying home with my kids
7. Working from home part time
8. A healthy body that at one time produced children (oops, that has a bit of sarcasm in it)
9. Living near family
10. Being in a ward with lots of fun friends
11. Living in a beautiful place that has had a mild, less rain than usual kind of winter
12.Living 20 minutes away from a temple
13. Working with the YW
14. Having an education and degree
15. Looking forward to a trip to Mexico this summer with my family
16. Looking forward to visiting my sister and her new baby girl this summer
17. Living near WinCo
18. Clint's new job, which hopefully means we'll see him more
19. A nice warm bed
20. My 5 senses
21. Being sealed to my cute little family for all eternity

Dress up and the Museum of Flight

We inherited some new dress up clothes from aunt Cindy and the kiddos have had way too much fun playing with them.....

Jack tried on the exact same leotard, but since this blog is not private, I decided not to share that one. :) Let's just say I have some serious blackmail on that boy.

Speaking of dressing, my mom and I headed to the NW Women's Show last weekend for our annual "collect as many free cosmetic samples and eat as many samples that we can before we burst" day. It was crowded and crazy, but nice to have a break from the kids and hang out with my mom. She came over to pick me up in the morning and we discovered we were nearly wearing the same thing. Scary.

What? Both kids smiling in the same photo? Unbelievable.

And just one more dress up photo: Clint modeling a shirt he inherited from my grandpa.

Last Thursday was free night at the Museum of Flight. I packed up the kids (surprisingly easy these days: no stroller, diaper bag, etc) and we spent a few hours exploring the cool museum. The kids loved it a lot more than I thought they would and we had a great night.
