Birthday Boys
It was birthday time at our home again! Clint and Jack share a birthday on January 28th. Clint hit the big 28 and Jack the big 3. Our morning plans fell through because of a light dusting of snow, but we brought Clint lunch at his office. That evening, we celebrated with a yummy chocolate fondue party with family. Jack received some new clothes, games (Elefun was his fav!) and a big crane set. I can't believe he is 3(and Clint is 28 :))!!

A little mischief
Mischievousness is a daily occurrence at the Karren home. The kiddos find anything and everything to get into!

Kip, I mean Jack, posing in his sweats and daddy's bling. We couldn't resist the "Kipness" of the whole situation (Kip=Napeleon Dynamite).

Lindsey makes a beeline for the VCR/DVD whenever we're in the family room. She also loves the remotes, so whatever we are watching and listening to is usually rudely interrupted. Her face is priceless: "look what I'm into again!" We recently acquired an entertainment center with doors so hopefully we can watch and listen in peace again.

A little miracle
As I was packing boxes the other night (we were planning on moving to our other house on Feb. 2), the phone rang. It was the owner of the house we are renting and he informed me that the sale of the house had fallen through. Bad news for them, good news for us. They invited us to continue renting until the house sells again. Luckily, we hadn't signed the contract on our other home, so we had no obligations (but, we still felt pretty bad backing out this close to the move.)We are thrilled to stay put for a while longer in our big, beautiful home. It was a definite answer to our prayers. We just hope everything works out for everyone in the long run.

Good-bye Chad!!
My brother, Chad, enters the MTC today. He will be serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission Spanish speaking. We have had the opportunity to hang out with him a lot in the last few weeks as he has been home from school and getting ready to leave. He is Jack's best bud. Chad would come over and play legos and basketball with him for hours. It was a great break for me!! He was even nice enough to watch both kiddos a few times! We will miss him, but we are excited for him as he begins his adventure in Texas.
